PRIVACY AND COOKIE USE POLICY

§ 1. General provisions
- The privacy policy and the use of cookies on the website https://hostelkc.pl (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") was created and adopted by Hostel Katowice Centrum.
- The terms used in the Policy mean:
- Service: website https://hostelkc.pl;
- User: an entity using a publicly available Website;
- Owner: NAP Grzegorz Kukiz, with its registered office in Gorzków 383, 32-020 Wieliczka, NIP 7921045840, REGON 650888396. The services are provided at Hostel Katowice Centrum, with its registered office at ul. Andrzeja 19, 40-061 Katowice. REGON 650888396
- Cookies: text files sent by the Website and stored on the User's end device, which the User uses to browse websites. These files contain information necessary for the proper functioning of the Website. Cookies typically contain the domain name of the website from which they originate, their storage time on the end device, and a number;
- The aim of the Policy is in particular to:
- providing Users with information regarding the use of Cookies on the Website, required by law, including the Telecommunications Law;
- ensuring Users' privacy protection to the extent that it meets the standards and requirements set out in applicable legal provisions.
- The Owner limits the collection and use of information about Users to the minimum necessary to provide services to them.
- In order to obtain full access to the content and services offered by the Owner via the Website, it is advisable to accept the rules set out in the Policy.
- The following legal provisions, among others, apply:
- Act of 16 July 2004 – Telecommunications Law (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 1907, as amended);
- Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 1219, as amended);
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016) together with Polish provisions on personal data protection.
§ 2. Protection of privacy and personal data
- User data is processed by the Owner in accordance with legal provisions. User personal data obtained by the Owner is processed based on the User's consent or the existence of another basis authorizing data processing in accordance with legal provisions, in particular the Regulation.
- The Owner takes special care to protect the interests of data subjects and, in particular, ensures that the data are:
- processed lawfully, fairly and transparently for customers and other data subjects;
- collected for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a way that is incompatible with those purposes;
- adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed;
- correct and updated as necessary;
- kept in a form which permits identification of the data subject for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data are processed;
- processed in a way that ensures appropriate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures,
- The Owner applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the protection of processed personal data appropriate to the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing and the risk of infringement of the rights and freedoms of natural persons.
- The Owner strives to systematically modernize the IT, technical and organizational measures used to protect this data, in particular the Owner ensures updates of IT security measures allowing protection against viruses, unauthorized access and other threats resulting from the operation of the IT system and telecommunications networks.
- The Owner provides each User who has made their data available to the Owner in any way with access to the data and the exercise of other rights to data subjects, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions in this respect, including the following rights:
- the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
- the right to information regarding their personal data;
- the right to control data processing, including supplementing, updating, correcting and deleting data;
- the right to object to processing or to restrict processing;
- the right to complain to the supervisory authority and use other legal means to protect your rights.
- The Owner may process personal data in an automated manner, including through profiling, in accordance with the principles set out in the Regulation. In such cases, the Owner's actions are aimed at marketing purposes or the need to personalize communications sent to Users (including tailoring information to the User's needs or expectations). The User has the right to object to such processing of their data – this objection may be expressed by sending a message to the Owner's address: kronan@interia.pl
- A person who has access to personal data processes it only on the basis of the Owner’s authorization or a personal data processing agreement and only on the Owner’s instructions.
§ 3. Cookies
- Cookies identify the user, allowing the website content to be tailored to their needs. By remembering their preferences, they enable the appropriate customization of content, including advertisements. The owner uses cookies to ensure the appropriate standard of service convenience, and the collected data is used only internally to optimize operations.
- Cookies are used for the following purposes:
- adapting the content of the Website to the User's preferences;
- optimizing the use of the Website, in particular by recognizing the User's end device,
- creating statistics,
- maintaining the User's session,
- providing the User with advertising content.
- Cookies may be placed on the Website User's end device.
- The collected data is used to monitor and check how Users use the Website in order to improve the functioning of the Website by ensuring more efficient and trouble-free navigation.
- Please note that in some cases, beyond the Owner's control, the software installed by the User on their end device for browsing websites (e.g., a web browser) defaults to storing Cookies on their end device. Users can change their Cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed, for example, to block automatic Cookie settings or to notify them each time they are placed on the User's end device. Detailed information in this regard is available in the software (web browser) settings and instructions.
- The user can disable or restore the option of collecting cookies at any time by changing the settings in their web browser.
- Changing your settings constitutes an expression of objection, which may cause difficulties in using the Website in the future. Completely disabling cookies will not prevent you from viewing content posted on the Website, except for content that requires login.
- Failure to change the settings means that the data will be placed on the User's end device (using the Website will result in automatic placement of Cookies on the User's end device).
- The stored data placed on the User's end device do not cause any configuration changes in the User's end device or the software installed on that device.
- Information regarding Cookies also applies to other similar technologies used within the Website.
§ 4. Final provisions
- The Policy was adopted by order of the Owner and comes into effect on January 1, 2024. The content of the Policy may be changed in the same manner.
- Any deviations from the Policy must be made in writing under pain of nullity.
- The law applicable to the Policy is the law of the Republic of Poland.
- In matters not regulated in the Policy, the relevant provisions of law shall apply.
